The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, also known as the Tryambakam Mantra, is a revered chant dedicated to Lord Shiva, originating from the Rig Veda. This mantra is especially significant for those seeking protection and liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth.

Translation of the mantra is as follows:

Aum Tryambakam Yajamahe
Sugandhim Pushti-vardhanam |
Urva-rukamiva Bandhanan
Mrtyor-muksheeya Maamritat ||

The structure of a mantra consists of systematic groups of letters (Aksharas) that, when chanted rhythmically, create vibrations throughout the physical body.
